Optimate vs Postiz
Postiz is an open-source scheduler priced per channel, with a hosted plan from $29 a month and a free self-hosted version. It supports over 30 networks and charges in US dollars.
Our verdict
For a business or agency that wants the posts written on-brand, the comments answered and the client reports sent, Optimate is the better choice. Postiz is cheaper per channel, reaches far more networks, and is free if you can host it yourself.

Who each one is for
Choose Postiz if…
Developers and technical teams who want to self-host, automate through n8n, Make or the API, or post to communities such as Reddit, Discord, Telegram or Medium.
Choose Optimate if…
Small businesses and agencies that want each brand's posts written for them, comments answered from one Inbox, and client reports that go out on their own.
Pricing side by side
Each product is shown in the currency it actually bills in. We deliberately don’t convert these into one currency — the rate moves, and a converted figure would misrepresent what Postiz charges.

Why teams choose Optimate over Postiz
The comments get answered
Optimate's Inbox brings in comments from YouTube, Google Business, Bluesky, X, Facebook, Instagram (through a Facebook Page) and Threads so you can reply in one place, with mood labels to show what needs attention first. Postiz schedules posts; it doesn't give you an inbox for the replies.
The posts are written on-brand
Postiz's AI copilot works from what you type. Optimate keeps a brand kit for each brand — voice, audience, forbidden words, colours and logo — and writes captions and designs against it, so less needs rewriting.
Made for client work
From Studio, each client gets its own brand kit and approval link; on Agency, client-branded reports go out by email every week or month. Postiz can group channels by customer but has no client reports.
Nothing to run, and a longer trial
There's no server to host, no developer apps to get approved by Meta, TikTok or YouTube, and the trial is 14 days with no card, against Postiz's 7.
Every tool you get with Optimate
Whichever tool you’re weighing us against, this is the full toolkit — every tool and benefit included, because the content is generated on-brand, not just scheduled.
Where Postiz has the edge
We’d rather tell you than have you find out. If one of these is a dealbreaker, Postiz may suit you better.
Far more networks
Postiz posts to over 30 networks against Optimate's 11, including Reddit, Discord, Telegram, Slack, Medium and WordPress. If your audience lives in communities rather than on the big social apps, Postiz reaches them and Optimate doesn't.
Cheaper per channel, and free to self-host
Thirty channels cost $49 a month on Postiz Pro. And because Postiz is open source, a team that can run its own server pays nothing for the software at all.
Built for automation
Webhooks, n8n and Make integrations, and rules that repost or like a post once it passes a set number of likes. Optimate has an API and a Claude and ChatGPT connector, but not those rules.
Common questions
Is Optimate cheaper than Postiz?
Not per channel. Postiz Standard is $29 a month for 5 channels and Pro is $49 for 30, while Optimate Pro is £29 for 10 accounts. Optimate includes team members, an Inbox for comment replies and on-brand AI writing on every paid plan, which Postiz either charges more for or doesn't offer.
Can I self-host Optimate like Postiz?
No. Optimate is hosted only. If running the software on your own server matters to you, Postiz is the better fit.
Is Optimate a good Postiz alternative?
Yes, if you want the posts written for you, comments answered from one Inbox and client reports handled for you. If you need Reddit, Discord or Telegram, or want to self-host, stay with Postiz.
Try it against your own accounts
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial, with no card required — enough to judge the content quality against whatever you use today. After that the free plan covers 3 connected accounts and 5 free AI generations to try, for captions, branded designs and carousels; AI pictures and video are on paid plans.
