Phone notifications (push)

Which push notifications the Optimate app sends, how to switch each one on or off, and why one might not arrive.

The Optimate app for iPhone and Android can send push notifications to your phone. Choose which ones you get under Notifications on Account, or in Settings → Notifications. Your choices apply to every phone signed in to your account.

Don't have the app yet? Get it on Google Play.

The notifications

  • Scheduled post results: when a scheduled post publishes, or fails and needs you. A post going to several platforms sends one push, not one for each.
  • Achievement unlocked: when you reach a new milestone.
  • Connection needs reconnecting: when a social account disconnects and scheduled posts would fail.
  • Approval decisions: when your reviewer approves or requests changes on a post.
  • New comments and reviews: one push when new comments, reviews or Bluesky direct messages arrive in your Inbox, never one for each.
  • Weekly summary: your posting numbers each week. Off unless you switch it on.

Quiet hours

Achievement and Inbox pushes wait between 21:00 and 08:00 in your time zone. Anything that came in overnight arrives as one push in the morning. Post results and reconnect alerts aren't held, because they can need you straight away.

Working in someone else's workspace

As a team member you only get New comments and reviews, for the clients you can reply on. Post results, approvals and connection alerts go to the workspace's owner.

Turn them all off on one phone

Switch off notifications for Optimate in the phone's own settings: on an iPhone, Settings → Notifications → Optimate; on Android, Settings → Apps → Optimate → Notifications. The switches in Optimate then show greyed out on that phone, and nothing reaches it until you allow notifications again.

Frequently asked

Why am I not getting any push notifications?

In the app, open Notifications on Account and tap Send a test notification. It registers this phone again and tells you what's stopping push. Check too that notifications are allowed for Optimate in your phone's settings, and that the switch is on for the ones you want. Push only reaches phones with the Optimate app: a web browser doesn't get them.

How do I stop the emails instead?

Emails have their own switches in the same Notifications section, above the push ones.
