Downloading your numbers and Looker Studio

Save your analytics as Excel or CSV, or pull them into a Looker Studio dashboard.

Download Excel or CSV

  1. Open Analytics and pick the platform and date range you want.
  2. Choose Download.
  3. Pick Excel workbook (a summary, daily numbers and posts on separate tabs), Daily numbers (CSV) or Posts (CSV).

The client report has the same Download button, for the period the report shows. A blank cell means the platform didn't report that number, not that it was zero. Downloads work in a web browser, not in the phone app.

Use Looker Studio

Looker Studio is Google's free dashboard tool. The Optimate connector pulls your daily numbers or your posts straight into it, so a dashboard you build stays up to date by itself.

  1. Open the Optimate connector in Looker Studio and choose Authorize.
  2. Sign in to Optimate if asked, and allow Looker Studio to read your analytics.
  3. Choose Daily numbers or Posts. If you manage several clients, pick the client this data source is for.
  4. Choose Connect, then Create report.

Looker Studio can only read your numbers; it cannot post or change anything. Build one data source per client, so each dashboard always shows the same client. To disconnect, remove the connection from Settings, under Automations.

Frequently asked

Which plans include downloads and Looker Studio?

Every paid plan and the free trial, the same as Analytics.

Why are some cells blank?

Some platforms don't report every figure. Facebook no longer gives Page reach, for example, and TikTok reports video views rather than impressions. Optimate leaves those blank rather than writing a zero that would read as no one seeing your post.
