Clients approve posts from one link
Send a client their posts on a review page that needs no account and no login. They approve each one or ask for changes, and nothing publishes until they approve. On Studio and Agency, and on a Studio or Agency trial.

Why sign-off drags on
Screenshots over email
Posts go out as attachments, feedback comes back in three threads, and nobody is sure which version was agreed.
A post that went out unapproved
One scheduled before the client said yes is the kind of mistake that loses an account.
Chasing for an answer
The client meant to look and forgot, and the week's posts sit waiting.
How approval works
Turn on approval for a client and every post you schedule for them waits on a review page they open from a link, with the picture, the caption, the platforms and the time it is due.
No login for the client
The review link is all they need. You can replace it at any time, and the old one stops working at once.
Nothing goes out unapproved
A post waiting for approval, or one the client has asked to change, never publishes on its own.
Changes, in their words
The client can ask for changes with a note or the wording they'd prefer, and you're told what they asked for.
The client is told
Add the client's email and Optimate emails them when posts are waiting, at most once an hour, and not between 9pm and 8am in the client's time zone unless a post is due soon.
Edits go back for approval
Change an approved post's words, media or where it goes and it returns to the client. Moving only its time does not.
A link per person on Agency
On Agency, each person at your client can have their own link, so the history shows who approved what, and the page can carry your logo instead of Optimate's.
What your client sees

Set it up for a client
- 1
Turn on approval
Switch to the client, open Brand, then Client workflow, and turn on Require client approval before posts go live.
- 2
Share the link
Add the client's email so they're told when posts are waiting, or copy the review link and send it yourself.
- 3
Schedule as usual
Posts wait for the client. Once approved, each one publishes at its scheduled time.
Common questions
Which plans include client approvals?
Studio and Agency, and a Studio or Agency trial. Free and Pro don't include it.
Does my client need an Optimate account?
No. The review link is all they need. Anyone who has the link can review, which is why you can replace it at any time.
What happens to a post the client hasn't approved?
It stays held. A post waiting for approval, or one the client has asked to change, never publishes on its own. Once approved, it publishes at its scheduled time, or on the next publishing run if that time has passed.
Does turning approval on affect posts I've already scheduled?
Not unless you choose to. If you switch it on while posts are already queued, Optimate asks whether to send those for approval too.
Can several people at the client approve?
On Agency, yes: each person can have their own review link, and the approval history records who approved what.
