Automated moderation rules, hiding and flagging, and an audit of who answered what. Optimate has none of that, and a brand fielding hundreds of comments a day genuinely needs it.
Reporting built for proving the work
Agorapulse's reporting is aimed at showing a client or a boss what the team did and what it returned. Optimate's analytics answer how content performed, which is a narrower question.

It charges per user, from $99/month each (or $79 billed annually), and that price carries the inbox, moderation and reporting layer. For a team that works those tools daily it's defensible; for one that mostly schedules, it's a lot of money for features that go untouched.
How many social profiles do you get?
Agorapulse includes 10 on every paid tier with extras at roughly $10–15/month each. Optimate includes 5 on Pro, 15 on Studio and 50 on Agency. Above about fifteen profiles Optimate is materially cheaper, especially with more than one person on the team.
