Connecting your social accounts

How to connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and X so Optimate can publish and pull analytics.

Connecting an account lets Optimate publish on your behalf and read back performance metrics. You stay in control — you can disconnect any account at any time.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings → Connections.
  2. Find the platform you want and click Connect.
  3. Sign in to that platform and approve the requested permissions.
  4. You'll return to Optimate with the account showing as Connected.

Good to know

  • Facebook and Instagram connect through a Facebook Page — pick the Page you manage.
  • We only request the permissions needed to publish and read analytics.
  • You can reconnect at any time if a platform's access expires.

Why does Instagram need a Facebook Page?

Instagram's publishing and insights are provided through the Facebook Graph API, so an Instagram professional account linked to a Facebook Page is required.

How do I disconnect an account?

Go to Settings → Connections and click Disconnect on the platform. You can also revoke access from the social platform's own settings.
