Best SocialPilot alternatives
SocialPilot is one of the best-value tools in this market, so the honest starting point is that plenty of people looking at alternatives should stay. Those who do move usually want deeper analytics, better AI content, or have grown past what a budget agency tool covers.
Who wrote this
Optimate publishes this page, so treat it as a vendor's list rather than an independent review. We've tried to earn the read by ranking on fit rather than on who's paying for the page — Optimate isn't first on every list here, and where a competitor is the better answer we say so and link you to them.
How this list is ordered
Ordered by how well each addresses the reasons people actually leave SocialPilot — analytics depth, AI content quality, and outgrowing it — while being clear about what SocialPilot does that the alternative does not.
Pricing checked 25 August 2026. Tools without a figure are ones we haven’t verified directly — check their site rather than trust a number we didn’t read ourselves.
Number 1: Metricool
Free plan · from €20/moBest for: The most common upgrade: real analytics at a similar price
Competitor benchmarking across up to 100 profiles, customisable report templates and a Looker Studio connector, from €20/month. SocialPilot's reporting is serviceable; Metricool's is the product. The closest like-for-like move for an agency whose clients ask harder questions.
Number 2: Optimate
Free plan · Pro £29/mo · Studio £59/mo · Agency £135/moBest for: Leaving because the content is the bottleneck, not the scheduling
SocialPilot's AI works from whatever prompt you give it each time. Optimate generates against a saved brand kit per client — voice, audience, rules — so tone holds across posts without restating it, and it makes images as well as captions. Agency is £135/month for 50 profiles against SocialPilot Ultimate's $200 for 40. Be clear about the trade: SocialPilot white-labels client reports and Optimate does not, which for some agencies ends the conversation here.
Number 3: Sendible
Best for: You need white-label, just not SocialPilot
The other established agency tool with client dashboards and white-labelling, including custom domains on higher tiers. The natural move if branding the client experience is why you bought SocialPilot in the first place.
Number 4: Planable
From $33/workspace/moBest for: Approval-heavy workflows between agency and client
Built around collaboration and sign-off — content is previewed exactly as it will appear and commented on in place. Strong if approvals are the bottleneck rather than production.
Number 5: Buffer
Free plan · from $5/channel/moBest for: Downsizing on purpose
If it turns out you used SocialPilot for a couple of channels and none of the agency features, Buffer does that from $5/channel and nothing else. A real option worth naming rather than a consolation prize.
Number 6: Sprout Social
From $99/seat/mo billed annuallyBest for: Outgrowing budget tooling entirely
A unified inbox, listening and sentiment analysis that no budget tool offers, at $199/seat/month on Standard. Per-seat pricing punishes team growth, so model it against headcount before shortlisting — this is a different category of spend, not a swap.
Common questions
Should I actually leave SocialPilot?
Often not. At $20/month for 5 accounts and $40 for 10, with white-label reporting and a large AI credit allowance, it is one of the strongest value propositions here. The case for moving is real if you need analytics depth it does not have, want AI grounded in a saved brand voice, or have grown into needing an inbox and listening.
What is the best SocialPilot alternative for agencies?
Metricool if client reporting is the deliverable, Sendible if white-labelling is what you are protecting, Optimate if producing on-brand content for many clients is the constraint. All three are credible; which one depends on which part of the job is actually slow.
Is there a cheaper alternative to SocialPilot?
Below about ten accounts, Buffer's per-channel pricing can work out less if you only need scheduling. Above that SocialPilot is hard to beat on raw cost per account, and most of this list is a step up in price rather than down.
Does anything here replace SocialPilot's white-label reports?
Sendible, most directly. Metricool white-labels only on its Custom tier. Optimate does not white-label at all — reports carry Optimate's branding — so if you resell reporting under your own brand it rules us out, and we would rather say so than waste your evaluation.
